Sam Rugunda is a Managing Director, Capital Solutions, responsible for Syndication in Europe. Prior to joining Apollo in 2022, Sam was a Director in the Global Infrastructure Finance team at Citigroup in London from 2016 to 2022. Prior to that, Sam was a Vice President in the Private Placements Group at Citigroup in New York from 2012 to 2016 where he originated, structured and distributed debt private placements for issuers globally. From 2009 to 2012, Sam worked as an Analyst in Citi’s North America Investment Grade Loan Structuring and Syndication team.

Sam holds a BA in Economics from Connecticut College and a Masters in Public Administration from Columbia University.
