Our Expanding Opportunity initiative leverages the full force of the Apollo ecosystem to drive positive change across our workplace, throughout the marketplace of the alternatives investing and insurance industries, and in the communities where we work and live.


Our workplace initiatives are focused on building a modern, diverse and inclusive work environment that promotes belonging and engagement.


Our marketplace initiatives are centered around how we leverage our capital and commercial resources to benefit diverse asset managers, financial institutions and suppliers. 


Through our community initiatives, we seek to lead responsibly through investments of time, talent and resources that help to create economic opportunity and prosperity.

The Apollo Opportunity Foundation

Launched in 2022, the Apollo Opportunity Foundation builds on Apollo’s commitment with a plan to invest more than $100 million over the next decade in non-profit organizations working to expand opportunity for underrepresented individuals.

Investing in Black Futures

In June 2021, we launched an initiative that epitomizes our ambitions to promote diversity in our workplace and across our industry. Apollo, Ares Capital, and Oaktree Capital announced the creation of AltFinance, a fellowship in partnership with non-profit organizations and academic institutions, to create clear pathways for students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) into alternatives firms and portfolio companies.

Across Apollo, we look for ways to make our employee experience more inclusive, to provide growth and development opportunities and to encourage a spirit of collaboration and recognition.


Our Citizenship program provides a forum for our employees to make a positive impact on their communities through a variety of philanthropic and volunteer initiatives and other engagement activities.
