Mr. Villanueva joined Apollo in 2021 in Apollo Capital Solutions. He is a Managing Director and is responsible for syndication and distribution activities for leveraged credit. Prior to that time, Mr. Villanueva was a Managing Director in the Capital Markets group at Union Square Advisors from 2019 to 2021. Prior to that, Mr. Villanueva was a Principal at Eaglehill Advisors investing in private credit from 2015 to 2018. Prior to Eaglehill, Mr. Villanueva was a leveraged finance banker at Citigroup Global Markets and began his career as a finance and restructuring lawyer at Weil, Gotshal & Manges in New York City. Mr. Villanueva is also a Board Member of Urban Arts, a New York City-based nonprofit. Mr. Villanueva graduated cum laude from Boston College with a bachelor's degree in arts and sciences. He also received his J.D from Rutgers University - Newark and his M.B.A. from ESADE Business School in Barcelona.
