Piyali Chowdhry joined Apollo in July 2021 as the Head of Human Capital - India.

Piyali has extensive experience as a strategic HR professional having worked in recruitment, campus programs, performance management, organizational development, employee relations roles in reputed foreign banks in India.

She started her career at Citibank and worked in various HR roles, ending up as HR Head for a startup JV between Citi & an Indian conglomerate. Piyali then held senior HR roles at Barclays and Nomura until 2013 when she joined JP Morgan. Her last role there was as Head of HR Advisory, Corporate Centers, India.

Piyali has an MBA (HR) from XLRI – Xavier School of Management, Jamshedpur and a BA (Hons) in Psychology from Indraprastha College, University of Delhi.
