Jean-Philippe Gaillard is a Managing Director and Head of Origination Strategy for APAC at Apollo. Previously, JP was Managing Director at Ares SSG, the Pan-Asian investment business of Ares Management, where he was responsible for sourcing, executing and managing special situation investments in Australia and New Zealand and supporting the expansion of Ares product offering into Asia including sponsor lending and alternative credit. JP was also a member of Ares SSG's Pan-Asian Pre-Investment Committee, which reviews all fund investments across the region. Prior to Ares SSG and Asia, JP spent more than a decade in London and New York focused on distressed debt and principal investing.

JP graduated with Masters in Finance from ESCP Business School in Paris, France.
