Jean-Philippe Gaillard

Jean-Philippe Gaillard is a Managing Director and Head of Strategy for APAC at Apollo. Previously, JP was Managing Director at Ares SSG, the Pan-Asian investment business of Ares Management, where he was responsible for sourcing, executing and managing special situation investments in Australia and New Zealand and supporting the expansion of Ares product offering into Asia and Australia such as sponsor lending and alternative credit. JP was also a member of Ares SSG's Pan-Asian Pre-Investment Committee, which reviews all fund investments across the region. Previously, he was Division Director at Macquarie Group where he was responsible for special situations and distressed debt investing for the group across Australia and Asia. Prior to Macquarie, JP spent time at Cyrus Capital, KKR and Goldman Sachs in London and New York, where he built his experience in special situations, distressed debt and principal investing.

JP graduated with Masters in Finance from ESCP Business School in Paris, France.
