Diego De Giorgi is a Partner and Head of Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Apollo, overseeing business activities in the region. He is also a member of the Firm’s Leadership team.

Prior to joining Apollo in 2026, Diego worked in financial services for more than three decades across the UK, Europe, the US, Asia, the Middle East and Africa as an active dealmaker as well as a manager of large banking organizations. He held leadership roles of escalating responsibility during his 18 years at Goldman Sachs and served as Global Head of Investment Banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Most recently, he was the Group Chief Financial Officer of Standard Chartered. He serves on the Board of Trustees of the MIB Trieste School of Management.

Diego holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Università Bocconi in Milan and a CEMS master’s degree from the London School of Economics.
