Waleed Elgohary joined Apollo in 2023 as a Partner in our Infrastructure team based in London. Waleed joins Apollo with over 20 years of industry experience and a proven track record of success investing in energy transition and value add infrastructure assets. He joins us from CPP Investments where he most recently served as a Managing Director in the Sustainable Energies team with responsibility for the full investment lifecycle across multiple sectors and geographies. Waleed began his career as a Thermo-fluid Systems Engineer at Pratt & Whitney Canada Corp and over the course of his career has held various roles at McCarthy Tétrault LLP, Enwave Energy Corporation, and Capstone Infrastructure.

Waleed earned both of his bachelor’s degrees from McMaster University, Ontario, one in Mechanical Engineering and one in Biology, and received both his Master of Business Administration and Juris Doctor from Western University.

Waleed sits on the boards of Kelvion, Purmo Group and Graanul Invest and sits on the UK Advisory Council for Western University located in Ontario, Canada.
