Skardon Baker is Partner, European Principal Finance (EPF), Real Assets at Apollo, where he oversees all EPF investment activities, operations and personnel. He is also a member of the European Management Committee. Prior to joining Apollo in 2012, Skardon was Managing Director with The Carlyle Group’s distressed debt investment vehicle and Managing Director at Oaktree Capital Management before that. Skardon started his financial services career at JPMorgan Chase and its predecessor organizations where he was a member of the Mergers and Acquisitions Group.

Skardon is a graduate of Harvard University and received his MBA from Harvard Business School and JD from the University of Texas School of Law. Prior to his graduate studies, Skardon served as Chief Speechwriter and Policy Assistant to Governor George W. Bush, subsequently the 43rd President of the United States. Previously, Skardon served on active duty as an Officer in the United States Army.
