Giovanna joined Apollo in January 2025 as a Managing Director in the Corporate Communications group.

She has 20+ years of in-house and agency experience driving communications strategy and campaigns for companies ranging from startups to multinationals.

Prior to Apollo, Giovanna was Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications at American Express, overseeing financial communications, global social media, crisis response and corporate sustainability.  Previous roles include serving as Head of Corporate and North America Communications for Twitter, Head of Communications at MasterClass and as a partner at Brunswick Group, focused on M&A, IPOs, restructurings and crisis.

She is a graduate of the Georgetown School of Foreign Service and a dual citizen of Italy.
