Russell Uyeda is a Managing Director, Private Equity on the Technology Transformation Team in Apollo Portfolio Performance Solutions (APPS) where he supports our deal teams and the management of its funds’ portfolio companies to drive more successful investment outcomes and build stronger companies.

Before joining Apollo in 2024, Mr. Uyeda was an Operating Partner at HGGC where he advised the firm and portfolio companies in a broad range of technology matters, including digital transformation, cloud computing, IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and M&A integration. Russell has an extensive technology background in Fortune 500 and private equity portfolio companies across software businesses, consumer-packaged goods, media & entertainment, manufacturing and distribution, and health & wellness.

Prior to joining HGGC, Russell was a CIO & CTO several times in his career and held executive positions in technology, digital marketing, operations, and supply chain at NBCUniversal and Capital Brands.

Mr. Uyeda graduated with honors Magna Cum Laude from UC San Diego with a BS in Management Science and received his M.B.A. from the USC Marshall School of Business.
