Robert joined Apollo in 2025 following the closing of Apollo’s acquisition of Bridge Investment Group. He currently serves as a Vice Chairman, with responsibilities spanning corporate solutions and capital formation.
Prior to joining Apollo, Robert was the Founder and Executive Chairman of Bridge Investment Group. In that role, he guided overall firm strategy and led growth initiatives and capital formation for both institutional and wealth investors. Robert served on the investment committees for nearly all Bridge investment vehicles and supported senior leadership and strategic initiatives across the organization.
Before Bridge, Robert held a variety of senior leadership roles at Citigroup Inc. and its predecessor companies, including Global Head of Investment Banking (2000-2004) and CEO of Citi’s Asian institutional businesses (2004-2008). Earlier in his career, Robert held senior roles at Salomon Brothers beginning in 1985.
Robert serves on several non-profits boards and holds leadership positions across organizations including the Yale University President’s Council on International Activities, the Yale University Health Tech Initiative, Protect Our Water Jackson Hole, Mianus River Gorge Foundation and the Whitney Museum Directors Council.
Robert earned his undergraduate degree in Economics from Yale University, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude. He later earned a joint JD/MBA from Harvard University in 1981.
