Jeff oversees the Global 3rd Party Insurance business, with an emphasis on investment policy and themes, as well as client portfolio and relationship management.  He has worked on insurance balance sheet management throughout his time at Apollo, initially acting as CIO of Apollo Insurance Solutions Group (with primary portfolio management responsibility for Athene), and serves on the investment committee of Apollo Aligned Alternatives.

Prior to joining Apollo in 2019, Jeff was Global CIO and Lead Portfolio Manager of the Financial Institutions Group at BlackRock, where he was responsible for setting global macro investment strategy across all markets, as well as strategic direction and growth of the Global FIG business. In this capacity he led portfolio management teams in the US, London, Japan, and Hong Kong, and was responsible for creating appropriate investment strategies across regulatory environments and widely varied insurance balance sheets. He was a founding member of the FIG team at BlackRock. 

Jeff is a member of the board of the Special Operators Transition Foundation, an organization committed to helping Special Operations Forces veterans transition into private sector careers, and previously served as a Trustee and board member of The Nature Conservancy of Eastern New York. Jeff graduated from Princeton University with a BA degree in History and a Certificate in Environmental Studies.
