James Elworth is Partner & General Counsel, Equity at Apollo. James joined Apollo in 2015 as the Deputy General Counsel for Credit. Prior to that time, he worked at the law firms Davis Polk & Wardwell and Shearman & Sterling.

James graduated from the University of Michigan in 1998 with a BA and received his MA from Yale University. He received his JD from Harvard Law School.
