Issei Tsurumi joined Apollo in 2026 as a Managing Director and Head of CPM Japan. Before joining Apollo, Issei was most recently APAC Head of Investment Solutions at Deutsche Bank, where he was responsible for managing their Asia structuring team covering multi-asset, hybrid, managed account and quantitative strategies. Prior to this, he served as Japan Head of Equity Structuring, and since joining Deutsche Bank in 2007, he has held a wide range of structuring leadership roles across rates, FX, commodities, and hybrid products. Issei began his career at Morgan Stanley in Tokyo, on their Macro structuring desk, focusing on Rates, FX and other exotic derivative products. Issei graduated from McGill University in Montreal with BCom (Finance).
