Gary Rothschild is Partner, Head of Aviation Finance, Credit at Apollo. Gary also serves as Chief Executive Officer of Merx Aviation, a portfolio company of Apollo Investment Corporation, which he founded with Apollo in 2012. Since inception, Merx Aviation has acquired over 230 commercial aircraft with a value in excess of 7B. In addition to his responsibilities at Merx, Gary also oversees PK Airfinance, Apollo’s aircraft lending platform. Prior to Merx, he was Managing Director in Citi’s Structured Finance group, advising clients on transactions in excess of $10 billion across the energy and transportation sectors. While at Citi, he was responsible for the buildout and management of Citi’s aircraft trading and leasing business. Gary joined Citi from Milbank, where he was a member of its Transportation Finance Group.

Gary is a graduate of Stanford University and the New York University School of Law.
