Alistair joined Apollo in 2026 in the Asset Back Product team and is responsible for expanding Apollo’s ABF AUM growth in the APAC region. Prior to joining Apollo, Alistair founded Asia Asset Backed Advisors (“AABA”), where he advised on structured credit financing solutions across the region. Before establishing AABA, he served as a Portfolio Manager at Waterfall Asset Management, focusing on APAC public and private asset backed investments, and previously as a Portfolio Manager at Natixis Investment Managers, investing in infrastructure and asset backed private debt.

Before transitioning to the buy side, Alistair was Head of Structured Finance, Asia ex‑Japan, at Mizuho Securities. He has also held a number of senior structured finance roles in Asia at Natixis, Credit Suisse, and Citigroup. Alistair began his career in the Structured Credit Products Group at Citigroup in New York, before returning to Hong Kong.

Alistair serves on the Board of Managers of Hong Kong International School, where he chairs the Finance Committee. He holds a BA and MA in Economics and Finance from McGill University and an MS in Quantitative Finance from the University of Waterloo.
