Al Tylis is the Chief Executive Officer of Apollo Sports Capital (ASC).

Tylis was an active investor in the global sports and esports worlds prior to joining ASC, including as an owner and board member of DC United in MLS. Through his family office, he is currently an owner and Co-Chairman of Club Necaxa in Liga MX and of Inter Bogota in Categoría Primera A; owner and managing partner of the Brooklyn Pickleball Team in Major League Pickleball; owner and Board member of the United Pickleball Association; and owner and Board member of G2 Esports, one of the most recognized esports teams in the world.

Tylis is a former real estate executive, having most recently served as Chief Executive Officer and President of NorthStar Asset Management Group prior to its sale and merger in 2017 to create a nearly $60 billion AUM asset manager. 

Tylis and his wife, Kate, established the Tylis Family Foundation in 2016, which seeks to make a positive impact in the lives of children and their families. Tylis is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and holds a JD from Suffolk University Law School. 

Sam Porter is Chief Strategy Officer of Apollo Sports Capital. Prior to joining ASC, Sam led numerous sports investments, including as co-owner of Club Necaxa, La Equidad and the Brooklyn Pickleball Team.

Robert Givone is Co-Portfolio Manager of Apollo Sports Capital and Partner, Head of Portfolio Strategies and Co-Chief Credit Officer at Apollo. Before joining in 2015, Robert was Senior Research Analyst within the Distressed Credit Opportunity Group at Davidson Kempner. Prior to that, Robert was Vice President at Brencourt Advisors and Investment Banking Analyst at Lehman Brothers.

A former professional tennis player, Robert holds a BA in economics from Columbia University.

Lee Solomon Co-Portfolio Manager of Apollo Sports Capital and Partner, Private Equity at Apollo. Before joining in 2009, Lee was an executive in the media industry, and Principal at Grosvenor Park, which was a joint venture with Fortress Investment Group. Lee received his MBA from The Stern School of Business.

He serves on the board of directors of Yahoo, Legendary Entertainment, Cox Media Group, World Choice investments, SMG I/II, Coinstar, and Eco ATM. He also serves on the Advisory Board of the Business of Sports Institute (“BOSI”) at The McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin.

He previously served on the board of directors of Endemol Shine Group, AMC Theaters and The ADT Corporation. He was named to the Billboard “Power100” List and Variety’s “Top 500 Entertainment Business Leaders”.
