Steve Martinez

Steve Martinez is Partner and Co-Head of Impact Investing for Apollo. Since joining in 2000, Steve has had many responsibilities at Apollo, including serving as Head of Asia-Pacific and the head of the Firm’s Hong Kong office from 2011 to 2021. As a member of the Private Equity team, Steve has led investments in a variety of sectors including shipping, leisure, media and general industrial while also serving on numerous investment committees related to the Firm’s private equity, credit and real estate activities in Asia. He has previously served as a director of Ventia Services, Clix Capital India, Norwegian Cruise Lines, Prestige Cruises, Nine Entertainment, Goodman Global, Rexnord Industries, Veritable Maritime, Allied Waste, Hayes‐Lemmerz International, Hughes Telematics, and Jacuzzi Brands. Prior to joining Apollo, Steve was a member of the mergers and acquisitions department of Goldman Sachs. Before that, he worked in Asia at Bain & Company.

Steve received an MBA from the Harvard Business School and a BA and BS from the University of Pennsylvania and the Wharton School.
