Richard Stanton joined Apollo in 2023 as a Managing Director on the APPS team and is focused on Digital and Data initiatives, including the practical application of Artificial Intelligence across Apollo's Private Equity portfolio.
Prior to joining Apollo, Richard held C-suite roles and led multiple digital transformations for private equity owned companies, public companies, and government organizations. He led the digital transformation of the largest private information services company in the United States, culminating in a $1.56B sale as their Chief Product and Technology Officer.
In addition, Richard invested on behalf of and managed investment portfolios in Corporate Venture Capital for a public company and Venture Capital and Private Equity for a family office. Richard also advised the U.S. Department of State and a Presidential Administration on technology related matters.
Richard graduated from The American University in Washington DC with a degree in Public Communications and currently sits on the Advisory Board of the ITWS School at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
