Richard Stanton is an Operating Partner in Private Equity at Apollo Global Management where he leads and supports value creation across the investment lifecycle, including diligence, post-close execution, and exit readiness. He focuses on product strategy, operating model transformation, and the practical application of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, across Apollo’s private equity portfolio.
Mr. Stanton partners with deal teams to assess product and technology capabilities during diligence. Following close, he works with portfolio company management to execute initiatives that drive revenue growth, operating leverage, and scalability, and to ensure Product and Technology initiatives translate into measurable EBITDA and enterprise value. He also supports exit preparation by helping articulate compelling product and technology value creation narratives for prospective buyers.
Prior to joining Apollo in 2023, Mr. Stanton held senior C-suite roles leading product and technology transformations for private equity–owned and public companies. As Chief Product and Technology Officer, he led the transformation of the largest private information services company in the United States, culminating in a $1.56 billion transaction, one of three exits as a C-suite member. He holds a degree from The American University and serves on the Advisory Board of the ITWS School at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
