Reed Rayman is a partner and member of the Apollo Leadership Team. He is the Deputy Co-Head of Apollo’s Hybrid business, the firm’s solutions-oriented strategy that encompasses the Hybrid Value Funds, Opportunistic Credit vehicles, and Apollo Aligned Alternatives (“AAA”). He is also a partner in the firm’s Private Equity business, which he joined in 2010. Since joining Apollo, Reed has led numerous investments across technology, media, and services sectors, and currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Yahoo! and sits on the board of directors of ADT, Shutterfly and Soho House. He previously sat on the boards of Western Digital, Coinstar, and EcoATM, amongst others, and was involved in Apollo’s $11 billion investment in Intel and the firm’s April 2020 COVID-period financings for Expedia and Cimpress.
Prior to Apollo, Reed was a member of the Principal Strategies Group at Goldman Sachs, and previously was a member of the Industrials Investment Banking group at Goldman Sachs.
Reed graduated from Harvard University with an AB in Economics. He is a board member of New Visions for Public Schools, a Trustee at New York’s Horace Mann School, and the Vice Chair of the Private Equity Executive Council of the UJA Federation of New York. He lives in New York with his wife and three children.
