Pratik Mukhtiyar is Managing Director and Head of Equity Tax Finance at Apollo, where he leads the firm’s equity tax finance strategy across Private Equity, Hybrid Value, Sustainability & Infrastructure, Real Estate, and Secondaries. He oversees the Tax Finance team responsible for tax reporting and compliance, as well as providing transaction-specific tax analysis, tax modeling, and strategic planning across the firm’s equity products and investments. The team partners closely with investment, finance, legal, and operations professionals to evaluate tax implications, quantify economic outcomes, support investor-related matters, and contribute to capital formation and new product development initiatives.

Since joining Apollo in 2015, Pratik has played a key role in building and institutionalizing the firm’s equity tax finance function, establishing foundational processes, analytical capabilities, and infrastructure that support the platform’s continued growth and increasing complexity.

Prior to Apollo, Pratik was a Tax Senior in the Investment Management Group at Deloitte Tax LLP, advising private fund and asset management clients on fund compliance and reporting, high-net-worth individual tax planning and reporting, and management company-related tax matters. He began his career in corporate tax roles at Deutsche Bank and AIG.

Pratik graduated cum laude from the Honors College of Pace University with a double major in Finance and Accounting and a minor in Economics.
