Neil Mehta is Partner and Global Co-Head of New Markets at Apollo. Neil is also a member of the Firm's Leadership Team.

For decades Apollo and Athene have delivered private markets and guaranteed income to pension funds and high net worth individuals. New Markets extends those capabilities to the vehicles most investors use: 401(k)s, ETFs, mutual funds, structured notes, insurance-based estate planning vehicles, and, increasingly, on-chain markets.

Neil joined Apollo in 2008 in Private Equity, and helped launch Athene and build the firm's Financial Institutions and Strategy teams. He served as Global Head of Strategy from 2021 to 2025, overseeing the build of Apollo Aligned Alternatives and the firm's partnerships bringing private markets into ETFs and target date funds. Prior to joining Apollo, Neil was a member of the Financial Institutions Group at Goldman Sachs.

Neil is a director of Vega and Daphne, two fintech platforms serving private markets, and a member of the Board of Trustees of The Lawrenceville School. He previously served on the board of directors of Athene and AmeriHome Mortgage.

Neil graduated cum laude from Harvard College with an AB and SM in Applied Mathematics, and with an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he graduated as an Arjay Miller Scholar.
