Mr. Maechling is a Managing Director, Credit at Apollo, where he is responsible for managing Private Credit Secondaries. Prior to joining in 2024, Mike was a Partner at AEA Investors, where he sourced, executed, and managed private debt transactions. Previously, he was with Investcorp International Inc., where focused on control buyouts in the firm's North American private equity business. Mike started his career at Credit Suisse First Boston in the Leveraged Finance Group. He serves on the Board of A.R.T./New York.

Mike earned a B.A. in History from the University of California, Berkeley and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
