Matthew Cantwell is a Generalist Operating Managing Director in Apollo Portfolio Performance Solutions (APPS) and specializes in driving investment outcomes across value creation initiatives, collaboratively, with investment teams.

Before joining Apollo in 2026, Mr. Cantwell was a Managing Director with EY-Parthenon where he effected value creation outcomes for private equity clients, to include Apollo. Prior thereto, Mr. Cantwell was an operator and transformation agent at McGraw Hill for the duration of Apollo's holding; he held various titles to include Chief Strategy Officer, VP FP&A, VP Global Supply Chain, and VP Initiative Management Office. Before that, he held various roles in consulting, venture capital, and government contracting.

Mr. Cantwell received an MBA from Columbia Business School's Global-MBA program, a MSc in Political Economy from The London School of Economics, and a BSc from Pennsylvania State University's Schreyer Honors College.
