Mr. MacLean joined Apollo in 2024 as an Operating Partner in the Apollo Portfolio Performance Solutions (APPS) group as both a generalist and the functional leader for Operational Excellence (OpEx).

Prior to joining Apollo, Mr. MacLean was a Managing Director in operations at Onex Partners where he worked on diligence and value creation with investment teams and later served as President at Onex portfolio company WireCo.  Before Onex, Mr. MacLean was an officer and SVP of operations and supply chain for Danaher-founded Colfax, where he helped conduct diligence and the integration of multiple acquisitions in both the diversified industrials and healthcare verticals.  Mr. MacLean was also an officer and VP of global supply chain and manufacturing for Cummins’ Power Generation division and was Cummins’ first corporate leader for both supply chain and advanced analytics across automotive, industrial and distribution business units.  Earlier in his career, he was a consultant at Bain & Company in San Francisco, London, Paris and Kiev.

Mr. MacLean received his MBA in finance from the Wharton School of Business and an MA in International Studies in Russian from the University of Pennsylvania’s Lauder Institute.  Earlier, he received a BA from the University of Pennsylvania.
