James Hogarth joined Apollo in 2022 as a Generalist Operating Partner in Apollo Portfolio Performance Solutions (APPS).  James serves on the Board of Directors of Atlas Air, Univar Solutions, and Brightspeed.

Prior to joining Apollo, Mr. Hogarth was a Managing Director in Black Diamond Capital Management’s private equity group.  At Black Diamond he worked for six years across investing and portfolio operations and served on the board of directors of various portfolio companies in North America and Europe. Before this, James was a Director in AlixPartners’ turnaround and restructuring group where he led a number of operationally focused turnarounds.  Prior to that, Mr. Hogarth worked in strategy consulting and as an entrepreneur.

Mr. Hogarth graduated with an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and has a BA and MA in Archaeology and Anthropology from Oxford University.
