Hiresh Sonthalia joined Apollo in 2026 as Managing Director and Head of Investment Operations in India to work in close partnership with global functional leaders to strengthen the target operating model, advance our transformation agenda, and enhance the risk and control framework.

Hiresh brings nearly 24 years of capital markets and financial operations experience. Prior to joining Apollo in 2026, Hiresh served as Managing Director and Global Head of Markets, Asset and Wealth Management Operations at Accenture . In his role he was leading a globally distributed delivery team across Asia, Europe, and the US  and delivered large scale platform and process transformation across clients. He previously held senior roles at Barclays — including India Head of Post-Trade Operations and Global Head of OTC Derivative & FX and earlier at Citibank, where he led Corporate & Investment Banking operations across multiple regions.

Hiresh is a qualified Chartered Accountant from ICAI.
