Mr. Shearer joined Apollo in 2026 in the Hybrid Group and is responsible for supporting the evolving needs and priorities of the Hybrid business on a cross-platform basis. Prior to that time, Mr. Shearer was a Managing Director and Head of European Credit Solutions in the Global Credit Solutions Group at TPG Inc. from June 2019 to January 2026. Prior to that, Mr. Shearer was a Director in the Distressed Credit and Special Situations Group at Taconic Capital Advisors from April 2014 to March 2019. Mr. Shearer was a Vice President on the Distressed Proprietary trading desk at Deutsche Bank, where he also worked in the leveraged finance group earlier in his career. Mr. Shearer previously served as Chairman of the Board of Vantiva, a listed communications equipment company based in Paris, France.
