Adam Joseph has +15 years of relevant working experience in the areas of corporate finance (M&A) and ALM within the insurance industry. Adam Joseph is part of the GIRPF team (Global Insurance Resource and Principal Finance), focusing on insurance and other special projects. In this role Adam is responsible for portfolio construction (Strategic Asset Allocations) and liability analysis.

Adam joined Apollo in 2020 and has predominantly worked on asset optimization for numerous ‘special projects’. In particular, Adam supports ISG and Athene on various portfolio optimization requests as well as on complex liability/ALM evaluation. Adam also conducts asset optimizations for FIG and for multi-credit funds such as TRIG. Adam previously worked at Global Bankers as Chief Actuary for their Luxembourg entity and at NN Group, where he executed key M&A transactions as a Principal.


Prior to joining Apollo in London as a Principal, Adam worked at Global Bankers (a Private Equity Insurer) where he focused on M&A at the corporate level and held local responsibilities as Chief Actuary of their Luxembourg entity. Prior to that, Adam worked at NN Group – most recently as an M&A Principal in corporate finance, and before that in financial risk management where he was responsible for the group’s risk analytics.

Adam holds a Bachelor of Business Science from Rhodes University, South Africa.
