Abhishek Sharma is a Managing Director in Principal Structured Finance at Apollo, responsible for global origination and structured credit investments within Apollo’s High Grade Alpha group. Prior to joining Apollo in 2025, Abhishek led energy strategy at Amazon Web Services (AWS), where he managed significant projects worldwide for over a decade, including investments in utility infrastructure, renewable energy, and nuclear power plants. Before AWS, he founded an electricity trading hedge fund and an energy trading services company backed by GE, and developed AI/ML technology infrastructure for the US government. Abhishek holds a B.Tech from IIT, an MS in Robotics from Carnegie Mellon, and an MBA from Columbia Business School
