James Caruso is Managing Director, Apollo Capital Solutions, where he is focused on corporate origination in the U.S. and also oversees all ACS functions for our Hybrid franchise. Prior to joining Apollo in 2015, James was Vice President and Head of Origination at Southfield Capital, a middle market Private Equity and Credit fund where he helped build and institutionalize various origination and deal investment functions across sectors. James started his career Investment Banking Division at Barclays Capital, focused on corporate coverage and deal execution within the Natural Resources sector.
James graduated with high honors from Lehigh University with a BS in Finance and Entrepreneurship and has also received post-graduate certifications from Stanford University.
