Mr. Suter joined Apollo in 2021 and is responsible for providing strategic and operational oversight of Apollo’s yield generating platforms. Between 2009 and 2020, Mr. Suter was an executive of three Apollo portfolio companies: Group Chief Operating Officer of Athora Holding Ltd; Chief Integration Officer of Athene Holding Ltd; and COO of an entity developing a US banking platform. Prior to his roles at Apollo-sponsored companies, he co‐founded and was a senior deposit and lending executive of Countrywide Bank, the 11th largest national bank in the US. Mr. Suter also managed a distressed mortgage portfolio for an affiliate of Blackrock and was a management consultant in the banking and insurance industry. He served on the Boards of Directors of EVO Banco (Spain) and three of Athora’s carriers in Belgium, Bermuda, and Germany. He holds a BS in Economics, cum laude, from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
