John Hillman is Partner, New Markets at Apollo, where he is responsible for Tax Advantaged Investing. Prior to joining in 2022, John was Founder and Executive Chairman of Lombard International, and previously held a number of senior management roles in the life insurance industry. Before that, John was Senior Manager in the Global Insurance Tax Practice at Arthur Andersen. He previously served on the board of directors of Lombard International, Philadelphia Financial Group and affiliated companies.

John graduated summa cum laude from Saint Joseph's University with a BS degree in Accounting. He holds a CPA (inactive), and is a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) as well as a Fellow of the Life Management Institute (FLMI).
