Tanner Powell is Partner, Credit in Direct Origination at Apollo. He serves as the Chief Investment Officer for Apollo Investment Management, L.P., the President of MidCap Financial Investment Corporation (NASDAQ:  MFIC), and holds leadership roles in the Firm’s Energy Credit and Aircraft Leasing businesses. Prior to joining in 2006, Tanner served as an analyst in Goldman Sachs' Principal Investment Area (PIA), concentrating on mezzanine investing, and an analyst in the Industrials group at Deutsche Bank before that.

Tanner graduated from Princeton University with a BA in Political Economy.
