Salim Hirji is Partner, Private Equity at Apollo where he is responsible for analyzing and monitoring investments across industry sectors, including Consumer, Retail and Business Services. Salim currently serves on the Boards of The Michaels Companies, PetSmart, and Trace3, and previously served on the Boards of Yahoo!, Presidio, Mood Media, and ACRA Inc. Prior to joining the firm in 2013, Salim was an analyst in the Financial Institutions Group at Goldman, Sachs & Co. from July 2011 to August 2013.

Salim is a Board Member of PetSmart Charities, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of pets and their families. Salim graduated summa cum laude from Columbia University with a BA degree in Economics and Political Science.
