Loretta Shaw-Lorello is Managing Director & General Counsel, Fund Formation at Apollo. Prior to joining Apollo in 2022, Loretta was a Member and the Chair of the Investment Funds group at Mintz Levin. Prior to Mintz, Loretta was a Partner and Co-Head of the Private Funds and Investments practice at Covington & Burling, and a Partner in the private funds practice at O’Melveny & Meyers. Loretta began her legal career in litigation, as an Associate at both Sullivan & Cromwell and Winston & Strawn.
Loretta earned her law degree cum laude from Fordham Law School and graduated with a B.A. in History from Yale University. Loretta serves on Board of Trustees of the Rutgers Preparatory School in Somerset, New Jersey.
