Jasjit Singh is a Partner and member of Apollo’s Leadership Team. He serves as Co-Head of Insurance Solutions Group and leads Apollo’s Multi-Credit Investment Strategy. In his role as Co-Head of ISG, he focuses on managing Athene’s asset portfolio and overseeing Apollo’s rapidly growing multi-credit fund business. He also oversees Apollo’s derivatives hedging. From 2014 to 2022, Mr. Singh served as Apollo’s Chief Risk Officer, where he played a pivotal role in building and internalizing the firm’s risk infrastructure. During this period, he was instrumental in establishing Apollo’s variable annuity business and developing the firm’s derivatives trading desks. He became a Senior Advisor to Apollo in 2009 and joined the firm as an employee in 2014. Mr. Singh has nearly 30 years of industry experience across structured credit proprietary trading and investing, structuring, strategic asset allocation, variable annuities, insurance asset-liability management and liability pricing, derivatives trading, and risk management. Prior to joining Apollo, he managed the North America proprietary structured credit trading book in Lehman Brothers’ Principal Strategies division. Earlier in his career, he held roles of increasing responsibility within Corporate and Investment Banking at Deutsche Bank, working across several of the firm’s global offices.
Jasjit holds an M.A. in Mathematics of Finance from Columbia University; an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School; an M.B.A. from the Faculty of Management Studies, New Delhi; and a degree in Electrical Engineering from PEC, Chandigarh, India.
