Ms. Alexander joined Apollo in January 2024 as Head of Labor Relations. This newly created role focuses on establishing relationships and consistent engagement with institutional investors and workforce focused stakeholders, as well as advising on workforce dynamics more generally. She works closely with Apollo's Equities, Client Relations, Corporate Communications, Public Policy, Legal and Sustainability teams.
Ms. Alexander served in the United States Department of Labor in both the Obama and Biden administrations, in the latter as Assistant Secretary of Labor, Public Affairs. She was responsible for strategic engagement with the White House and other Cabinet agencies on high-profile initiatives focused on macroeconomic messaging, pandemic response, supply chain challenges and workforce related matters, ranging from major legislation to national rail labor negotiations. She spent six years with the Washington Nationals Baseball Club, supporting their World Series run; spearheaded an innovative public-private partnership program at the Chicago Public Schools; and practiced corporate and regulatory law at Leventhal, Senter & Lerman PLLC.
Ms. Alexander graduated from George Washington University with a B.A. in East Asian Studies, earned a J.D. from GW Law School and an M.S. in Integrated Marketing Communications from Northwestern University.
