Clay Shumway

Clayton Shumway is Partner in the Client and Product Solutions Group at Apollo, where he is responsible for helping lead fundraising efforts for Apollo's private equity, credit and real assets businesses in North America. Clayton brings extensive hands-on operating experience and leadership in investor relations and fundraising. Prior to joining Apollo, he was Co-Head of North American Investor Relations and Fundraising at Angelo Gordon. Before that, he led North America Investor Relations and Fundraising at CVC Capital Partners and was Senior Executive at Monarch Alternative Capital. Earlier in his career, Clayton held leadership roles at Highland Capital Management and Newcastle Capital Management, and worked in Private Wealth Management at JP Morgan and Goldman Sachs before that.

Clayton graduated with an MBA in Finance and Investments from University of Notre Dame and received a BS in Economics from University of Utah. He currently is an Advisory Board Member of the Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah.
