Ed Charlesworth is a Managing Director, Credit, at Apollo, where he is the Investment Risk Officer for Europe, APAC, & Emerging Markets Credit and for all the Global Investment Grade businesses including HGCS. He is a voting member of all relevant regional and global Credit Investment Committees.

Ed joined Apollo in 2019 from Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he held a number of senior roles across Wholesale Credit and Credit Risk. He has nearly 30 years of origination, underwriting and risk management experience across multiple geographies and asset classes including Leverage Finance, Structured and Principal Finance, High Grade Credit and Emerging Markets.

Ed graduated from Oxford University with a Master of Arts in Music. He is a Trustee and Chair of the Finance and Risk Committee of Live Music Now, a UK-based charity which creates social impact through the power of music by training and taking professional musicians into nursing homes, special needs schools and other care settings.
