Mr. Adriaan van der Knaap joined Apollo in 2016 in the Principal Structured Finance group and is responsible for credit investments in financial institutions. Prior to that time, Adriaan was a Partner and Global Head of M&A and FIG Coverage at StormHarbour Securities from June 2012 to February 2016. Prior to that, from June 2002 to April 2012, Adriaan was a Managing Director at UBS Investment Bank holding a number of positions including a senior MD in the FIG M&A Group, Chairman of the Global Capital Markets Group, head of FIG Capital Markets and Founder and Head of the FIG Solutions team. Prior to UBS, Adriaan was a Managing Director and Head of New Products at Merrill Lynch & Co. from June 1998 to April 2002. He started his career at Citibank in New York, London/Amsterdam.
Adriaan graduated from Erasmus University in Rotterdam with a Master’s Degree in Economics.
